Hey there, Fellow Farmer!
I recently sent out an email to the people who had joined my free FarmVille Tips newsletter, and I asked them what was the #1 thing that they were mainly frustrated with in FarmVille.
The responses that I got back weren't a surprise to me; after all, I have been playing Farmville for about 5-6 months now. The part that was shocking to me, though, was the amount of people who all seemed to have the same 4 common problems in FarmVille:
- How can I get more FV Cash and coins without paying for them?
- What are the best crops that should I be planting for my level?
- How can I level up faster?
- Are there any farmville cheats available that actually work?
In fact, 87% of the people that responded to me wanted to know how they can get more FV Cash without having to pay for it. I had no idea that so many people had this problem in FarmVille.
Sure, it's nice to be able to buy the latest decorations for your farm. Personally, I love decorating my farm with the latest items (the Christmas season's decorations are so cool!) and then showing them off to my friends. I just didn't realize that so many of you desperately wanted to be able to do the same thing!
Imagine that you login to FarmVille, go to the Market, and have the ability to buy whatever you want. What would you buy? An Acai Tree? Maybe a Golden Chicken, a Mystery Box, or Santa's Workshop? It's hard to decide, isn't it? Even better, what if you could buy all of the above, and still have FV Cash left over? Sounds a little hard to believe, doesn't it?
For the majority of the people that play FarmVille, they could play for months and months, and still not have over 30 FV Cash. It's frustrating to see FarmVille release all the cool new decorations, and not being able to buy any of them. I used to be that way, because I never knew the best way to play FarmVille.
I was never told that there are ways to get FV Cash, without having to pay for it (besides leveling up). It would've been nice if FarmVille would have told me how to do so. It's not like they don't have the space to do it. When you click on the little button that says "Add Coins & Cash", and it pops up a window that asks me if I need more coins or cash, there's plenty of room right there to tell me how to get the Cash for free! Sure, I understand why they don't do it - they want you to buy FV Cash!
I play FarmVille a lot. Actually, my wife says that I play it too much, but that's an entirely different topic. I've been where you're at. I've wondered what were the best seeds to plant and what were the best crop rotations to use. I've had to plow, seed and harvest each square, one at a time, because at first, I didn't have the tractor, seeder or harvester - and even when I finally got them, I kept running out of fuel, and had to wait and wait for the fuel to replenish, because I refused to spend my FV Cash on fuel refills. I would just sit there and watch my little farmer go from square to square, plowing, seeding and harvesting away. He sure is a hard little worker, isn't he?
Anyway, the 2nd most common problem in FarmVille is that people weren't sure which crops were the best to plant to get the most coins and XP. Certainly understandable, since there's currently 43 different crops that you can plant. So, how are you supposed to know which ones are the best crops to plant?
I learned the hard way which crops are the best to plant, and when I should be planting them. I didn't want to be constantly harvesting my crops, either. What fun is that?
Sure, we all start out planting strawberries. But where do you go from there? There's a ton of different crops to choose from, and...
And let's face it: Playing FarmVille the exact same way, day after day, is boring. The fun is in expanding our farms, watching our coins and experience points grow, and decorating our farms to show off to friends and neighbors. Which brings me to the 3rd most common problem in FarmVille.
When I started playing FarmVille, I didn't pay as much attention as I should have to my experience points. I was focused on building up as many coins as I could, because I saw all of these cool things that I could buy in the Market. I was doing it entirely backwards, and nobody told me that I was doing it wrong. I didn't know that there were specific things that I could have done in order to gain a lot of experience points, which would have made me even more coins, which would have allowed me to buy things that sped up this entire process even more. Why didn't FarmVille tell me any of this?!?!
Getting more experience points is vital if you want to progress further in the game. And sure, you can gain experience points the same ways that everybody else is doing it: harvesting their crops and helping out their neighbors - but that takes soooo long. Why would you want to do things that only give you 1-3 XP, when there are things that give you a lot more of XP?
And now for the final "problem" that people wanted to know about: FarmVille Cheats.
This topic is a bit controversial to a lot of players, so I will only briefly talk about it. First, there are two different kinds of cheats. There are the illegal ones that will cause you to lose your account. These cheats involve you downloading additional software that basically let you 'hack' FarmVille, to do exactly what you are wanting to do. These should be avoided at all costs.
The second kind of 'cheat', isn't really a cheat at all. They're just 'bugs' in the game that FarmVille hasn't discovered yet, and they do work. Some people think that FarmVille programs these bugs into the game on purpose. For instance, there used to be a cheat that would give you all the experience points that you wanted, and all that you had to do was click 4 buttons in a certain order inside FarmVille, and you'd be awarded with experience points left and right. That was sure fun while it lasted.
The thing is, these cheats/bugs are discovered all the time, and there's just a tiny group of players who get to take advantage of them, because they aren't publically announced. The cool part is that even after FarmVille discovers these bugs, they don't take away what you got by using them. It's up to you if you want to use these cheats/bugs to give you that edge over other players. But I can't stress this point enough ...
Anyway, it was rather interesting to hear from other FarmVille players to see what they were struggling with. It definitely brought back memories of my early farming days - of how I used to play FarmVille completely the wrong way - and how I did a 180° and turned everything around for the best; building the most beautiful farm that I had ever seen on FarmVille .
My farm is now completely maxed out, fully optimized and efficient, producing gobs of coins and XP on a daily basis. I have my $1,000,000 villa sitting on my 22x22 "Big Ole Plantation" (I can't wait for the 24x24 plantation to be released!); I have so many different decorations (so many that I had to move some into my storage sheds and barns); I have the best of everything to keep my farm running in tip-top shape.
I want you to quit struggling with FarmVille, and to be able to have the dream farm that you're working so hard so build. Last time I checked, there was close to 70 million people playing FarmVille. That's a lot of farmers who have no idea what they're doing, and who are just simply frustrated with their lack of knowledge to create their ultimate farm. And that sucks, because I know what it feels like to feel clueless, staring at an unsuccessful farm, and have no clue whatsoever what to do next. So, what is why I created ...

I'll be honest with you. This is not the only FarmVille strategy guide out there - I've bought every single one of them, in hopes that I could get that edge that I was looking for. Alas, I never found it. Sadly, they were nothing but (and forgive my language) crap. Double-spaced lines, huge margins, just to fill up a ton of pages, to give the illusion that you were getting something of value.
And let's face it: Since you're reading this site right now, chances are that you're already at least vaguely familiar with FarmVille, so you don't need a guide that takes 5 pages to tell you what FarmVille is, or how to create an account, right? So why would anybody even think about wasting even one second of their time (not to mention money) on a guide that doesn't live up to it's promises?
And the absolute worst part about some of these other guides? Some of their "secrets" involve doing things that will cause you to lose your hard-earned FarmVille account - forever! I'm sure you've seen plenty of places that tell you about "cheats", "hacks", or software "bots" that will do all your farming for you, but trust me, NEVER EVER use them. You will have your account banned, and there's no way you can get it back. It's just not worth it. I refuse to go over any of those aspects in my FarmVille Strategy Guide - my techniques are 100% fully game compliant. You will NEVER lose your account by following my advice.
Just keep in mind that ages-old saying "If it sounds too good to be true..."
